Have you ever wondered if cruising in a suite is worth it? Now is your time to find out! We had the opportunity to cruise in Royal Caribbean’s Villa Suite (previously The Presidential Suite). This is not the first time my family has cruised and stayed in a suite. We find tremendous value in suites for a variety of reasons.

Benefits of the Suites Program
All suites in the Royal Caribbean Suites Program have access to a variety of amenities for guests to enjoy during their stay including a dedicated check-in line for boarding, in-suite Mr. Coffee/Tea service, personalized service from a suite attendant, and a luxurious Cappuccino Pillow Top mattress.
Junior Suites, Grand Suites, Ocean View/Panoramic (No Balcony) Suites, and Owner’s Suites all receive priority boarding. Royal Suite and Villa Suite guests are escorted onboard by an officer.
A Week in the Villa Suite
Upon arrival on the ship my family was greeted by our concierge for the week. He escorted us through check-in and directly onto the ship where we took a priority elevator to the Suite Lounge and waited a short time before being escorted to our Villa Suite. We were introduced to our room attendant for the week and had time to explore our beautiful, expansive suite.
The Villa Suite is 1,209 square feet with an 805 square foot balcony and sleeps up to 14 guests. There are two master suites that have access to the balcony and two interior bedrooms that both sleep four guests.
The large living room has a sofa sleeper and the suite includes four bathrooms. The balcony is a great feature with a dining table that seats 12, four loungers, a hot tub and a wet bar.
Throughout the week we took advantage of the many benefits included with booking a Grand Suite or higher.
We started each day in the Suite Lounge for specialty coffee and continental breakfast or Chops Grille for a traditional sit-down breakfast. During days at sea, we ate lunch in Giovanni’s Italian restaurant. Every evening we would meet in the Suite Lounge for pre-dinner cocktails and canapes. A great perk when staying in a suite is the opportunity to order room service from the main dining room. Kids always love room service and it is a good option if you want a relaxing evening.
We frequently used the preferred seating at the pool and show venues. Anytime we arrived at the pool there was plenty of prime seating. When using the priority seating for the theater or ice rink, all you do is simply show your Sea Pass and they direct you to reserved seating. Be sure to arrive a little early as they open the reserved seating 10 minutes prior to the show.
Royal Caribbean makes disembarking after a week at sea so easy for its Suites Program guests. We met our concierge at a designated time for departure and were the first group escorted off the ship and through customs. Our week came to an end much too fast, but we made many family memories cruising the seas.
